About this deal
Stress and anxiety, medical interventions such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy and the side-effects of certain medications can impact upon our hormones and contribute to intimate dryness and painful sex. Your doctor should be able to prescribe our YES WB water based lubricant and our YES VM vaginal moisturiser as both products have been approved by the NHS and are on the drugs tariff and in the medical dictionary. The information to give to your GP is as follows: But lubricants not only oil the wheels, they can enhance sexual intimacy and pleasure for both parties and prevent certain infections too. From a sexual health perspective, having frequent or vigorous sexual intercourse can cause the bladder and urethra to become inflamed or infected, so using pH-balanced intimate lubricants can reduce the incidence of cystitis, urinary tract infections and vaginal infections such as thrush and bacterial vaginosis. Designed to meet the criteria of A Perfect (water-based) Vaginal Lubricant that not many brands do.

I had it all under control and then it has flared up again. This seems to be what happens for me - get everything controlled, find a regime that works for ages and then everything changes again and the regime needs tweaking. I was on vagifem x5 per week but if I can get this under control with a nightly reloading dose now I’ll be keeping on with it every night. If I can’t get it under control then I’ll have to see the GP as it must then be something else that’s going on. I’ve just changed to yes wb from yes ob as advised on here as I found the vagifem pessaries had nit dissolved on a couple of occasions. It may have been the yes ob interfering or it may have been me being too dry, or both, so I tried using yes wb in the morning to rectify any dryness and stopped using ob altogether. I might use the yes VM externally, and then internally in the morning every few days. I can’t see any other way round it until the vagifem gets going again.
Not like most of other vaginal moisturisers with unmatched high or low moisturising strength (Osmolality) which can potentially damage the tissues, YES VM has an ideal matching osmolality and can gently nurture your tender mucosa. When used regularly, YES VM can help to restore the natural protective acidity and balance the pH value of the vagina. I have it on my repeats list and can pull it whenever I need it. From what I hear it's somewhat down to the GP if they want to prescribe it, so at their discretion....hm!We exist to transform the experience of the menopause with better health, happier lives and brighter futures.
