About this deal
Overall, images match the quality of most smartphones in today’s market. And in good light, the camera provides excellent photos and videos, with the benefit of a superior zoom range over a smartphone. Images are reasonably sharp, well saturated, and have good color reproduction.

Seems to me, if this little camera had a 17mmx13mm sensor (or even bigger) it would be a giant killer. The Nikon Coolpix P520 allows you to get as close as 1cm to your subject, in this case a Compact Flash card. You can apply seven different filter effects in-camera to photos that you have already taken with the Nikon Coolpix P520. The Nikon Coolpix P520's maximum shutter speed is 8 seconds in the Manual mode, which is fairly good news if you're seriously interested in night photography. The shot below was taken using a shutter speed of 8 seconds at ISO 80. One final cornerstone of the P520’s spec is the built-in GPS. This not only tags your photos with geo location data, it has a points-of-interest database that automatically recognises landmarks when used with the supplied software. It’s not a whole lot of fun to use, either. Autofocus was lethargic, taking at least half a second, and up to three seconds in low light or at the long end of the zoom. Even in favourable conditions with a bright, nearby subject, it only managed to capture a photo every 2.9 seconds. After zooming right in, we measured an average of 3.7 seconds. Anything above a second is disappointing, especially for a bridge camera that’s likely to be pointed at fleeting subjects. The Nikon COOLPIX P530 looks every bit like the P520 it replaces. It’s pretty compact for a 42x super-zoom and in fact is slightly smaller than its predecessor and around 50g lighter. The design, right down to the number and placement of the controls is more or less identical though.
Nikon Coolpix P520 Review | Trusted Reviews
Measuring 125.2 x 84.1 x 101.6mm, the Nikon Coolpix P520 is slightly larger than the previous P510 model, but its design is only minimally different. Like most high-end superzooms, the Nikon P520 sports the typical bridge camera look, with a chunky hand-grip, large lens barrel, pop-up flash and an eye-level electronic viewfinder. The deep grip is moulded to fit comfortably into your right hand, and is rubberised in a textured material for added comfort. The screen is impressive, it's 3.2 inch in size and has a 921k dot resolution. It rotates to make it easy to shoot with the camera in higher or lower positions. The electronic viewfinder is useful for when shooting with the zoom at a long length as it reduces camera shake, but it's quite small and has a low resolution. g ) With battery and SD memory card.
