About this deal

And if he can save her, will these two wounded souls allow themselves to find healing in each other's arms? She met her husband, Martin, on a blind date when they were seventeen and after they both graduated from the University of Maryland, (Karen with a degree in Chemical Engineering) they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. I was able to figure out the killer about halfway through but continued to challenge my choice almost to the end. It’s imperative that the murderer is tracked down before he claims more victims, and Special Agent Steven Thatcher is dedicated to catching this monster. He also hasn't hired a nanny so his travel-loving aunt is stuck raising his sons (essentially) although she should just tell him to hire a nanny instead of throwing wife-candidates at him ESPECIALLY since he is determined not to marry again.

For me, the romance is the predominant part of the book, and that's in deterrent of the crime, suspense and mystery. The romance seas are brimming with playboy heroes, so I couldn't help but find Stephen's perspective utterly refreshing. I thought that the hero and heroine were both wonderful characters, and I was rooting for them all of the way. I have read all the books in this series and they can't come out fast enough, the way Karen Rose has taken a character from each of the books and taken them to the next one but given them a story in their own right is so good.Jenna and Steven's kids, Steven and Father Mike, Jenna and her girlfriend, Jenna and her nosy neighbor.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and am adding Karen Rose to my list of favorite romantic suspense authors. He's no closer to identifying and stopping a monster and he keeps messing up the relationship he desperately wants to pursue with the first woman to make it past his shields since his wife's death.

It would have put me off completely and I'd have missed the not-to-be-missed books of the two Reagan brothers. Karen Rose was introduced to suspense and horror at the tender age of eight when she accidentally read Poe's The Pit and The Pendulum and was afraid to go to sleep for years. She's a saint and perfect and loves her students, but outside of school I don't know much about her. But there's a bright light in his life: his son's teacher, Jenna Marshall, has reached out to help, and slowly she and Steven are falling in love.

I read them again and again, these are to replace the ones that have gone missing and/or now have loose pages. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes a good thriller with a little bit of love thrown in for good measure ! Each book is linked, there are characters we've met before and i honestly find it really exciting reading more about a character even if the book is no longer based on them. This was my second read by author Karen Rose, and it's a very good romantic suspense; but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as her first book, Don't Tell.He is afraid of sleeping in his own bed, he won't smile anymore, and most heartbreaking of all, he won't hug his father. As if the character roster in Rose’s long-on-suspense contemporary romance isn’t lengthy enough, one of them goes by two names: FBI Special Agent Griffin Davenport is better known as Gene Decker. I was also hoping for more time spent on the mystery and not Steven's "woe is me" angst or people telling him he needs to get married again for the sake of his boys -- which again, product of its time. Though I know teens can be a little quick to react, the Brad situation was unrealistic – he isn’t bathing, failing classes, hates his dad which all seems like a very extreme reaction but then he’s over it and completely fine in no time – again a little extreme.
