Graco Milestone All-in-One Car Seat, Group 0+/1/2/3, Aluminium
About this deal
The soft parts, like covers on the UK version are attached with poppers and not Velcro, like the US ones. With the Milestone you genuinely only have one purchase to make – not only is this fab in a one-less-thing-to-worry-about kind of way, but the savings also add up over the years.
Machine washable seat pad too – it can be removed without removing the harness so it is super easy to keep the car seat clean from grubby little fingers (and when yogurt raisins are the current snack of choice, machine washable is essential). Plus no additional extras are needed, however, it's worth noting it only comes with a 2-year guarantee in the UK. We removed all the padding that comes as standard and followed the instructions to transition the car seat to the Group 3 high back booster. We bought 2 of these for our boys and found them perfect for them can be a bit of a pain to get the seatbelt through a plug and the recline isn't that great but other than that they are fantastic car seats! Although our car has a third row of seating in the back, we like to keep all three car seats in the middle row of the car, so that we can make the most of a larger boot space, so it’s really important to us to have three car seats that will fit neatly together side by side in the middle row. I also found the cushion pad around the buckle of the 5-point harness kept rising up or twisting around, meaning it was getting in the way and making it hard to buckle the child in quickly. The other components of the car seat can also be cleaned (primarily by hand with mild soap and water with the exception of the buckle).
I didn’t have any complaints as far as comfort went – the Milestone is comfortable for younger children due to the nicely padded seat and the cup holder is also a great feature – perfect for baby’s bottle! If a baby falls asleep in the car seat, the baby should be removed from the car seat and placed in a cradle. I think it's great how the headrest and harness adjust together which makes life so much easier for us parents.Whether it’s one of Rory’s friends (group 1/2) or Arlo’s friends (group 2/3), I can quickly adjust the Milestone just by sliding the headrest up or down – no need to faff about with rethreading the straps. Let me tell you, this is by far my FAVORITE feature of this car seat since it cuts out manually having to adjust shoulder strap height (you know, those pesky silver claps that you have to unhook after turning the car seat backwards and upside down just to access). We have one of these for our now nearly six year old daughter and have had it since it first came in to the market pretty much.
