Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing: Book 4 (Original Cover Collection) (Magnolia Parks Universe)
About this deal
from the very first moment i got to know daisy in dh1 i just knew she was a character that would touch my heart. There wasn't much of a plot to be honest, if you read MP2 you already know everything that happens in this book.
Reading in DH3 how Julian finds out about Bridget and Magnolia marrying BJ (as she should) is going to hurt. And I just have to say… a meeting with the most dangerous men of the country in Julians house is unrealistic. If it had, perhaps I wouldn’t feel as disappointed by this book because my expectations would have been accurately set from the beginning. he has so many responsibilities weighing on his shoulders, and so many people relying on him, and that must be so exhausting at times. They had one good scene when they were laughing about Christian's sex tape, so I guess there's that.you never know, someone's least favorite book might be your favorite book and the other way too <3 now when that’s said magnolia needs to get her ass back into her own book, i’ve had enough of her whiny ass for now. The mafia bits felt thrown in and strung together to provide a reason for the hit, but it could have been executed better. Even the cover points towards Julian, another disappointment, as the story-telling tattoos feel repetitive after learning how important BJ’s tattoos about Magnolia are in MP1 and MP2. Never in my life have I seen an author be this biased against one of THEIR main characters and so blatantly obvious about it. And idc how absolutely toxic it was but I loved every minute of it and now that I'm done and I don't have any other books of this series to read I'm gna cry bec this book series is the highlight of my year.
first of all i’d just like to state; i’m ready to risk it all for a daisychristian endgame, at this point fuck beej, magnolia, and julian.
imo julian deserves way better than magnolia, because we all know magnolia can’t love another man like she loves beej. And if you add the whole mess to how their relationship made no sense because there’s not a single thing in common between these two (and that’s the reason why all their conversation were all about sex and NOTHING. Some people have freckles sprinkled on their noses, other people have eyes clear like water, or hair that’s the colour of the night, but me? i honestly hope that this is just a cover and he doesn't gaf about her because i am tired of this supposed menage a trois that is actually a Henry-Taura love story) after that Taura chick that CLEARLY doesn't want him.
And all he knows about her he knows it because he investigated her not because she told him this stuff. she did not get on my nerves and she was actually kind of bearable sometimes, considering that in the other books this girl was a master manipulator that somehow managed to ruin the life of every single friend she's ever had.My heart absolutely breaks for her and I hate that we never seem to dive as deep into her trauma as we do with other characters. i felt so conflicted on what to rate this book because i know if this was just a christiandaisy book i would be in love. I will read MP3 as I’m excited to see BJ and Magnolia get their happy ending, but I will not be reading any more Daisy Haites books unless they’re actually going to focus on Christian and Daisy. i saw someone else say that it feels like jessa doesn’t actually like or care about daisy/her storyline and yeah, i would agree. On top of this unbearable mess with Magnolia (made worse by her usual dumb ass and whiny behavior) I’m convinced the author doesn’t know shit about how the mafia works because WHO in their right minds would hold a mafia G6 meeting in their own fucking house (which by the way the police knows very well) and survive it?
