About this deal

This wasn't the usual murder mystery story, it has an unsettling background theme that gives you a tale of how easy it is to get pulled into a cult environment and the methods they use to trap people. Both stories complement each other and you find yourself going up several dead alleys before you realise the truth. Whilst we often feel we are one step head of the police, being as we often are in the mind of the central suspect or victim, she always retains some small element of the story, a vital piece of the puzzle which is revealed just at the point where the jeopardy will be most keenly felt.

Once again we meet Tom Douglas, Becky and the team as they investigate the murder of Genevieve and the disappearance of Martha. Imagine having three life-coaches who had been through the toughest mental and physical challenges; a crack team of problem-solvers who knew in their day job that one mistake could be the difference between life - and death. His company, XO-Tech have a small workforce and when the investigation team visit the offices, it becomes clear that there's one person who doesn't want to be involved in any questioning. Then a young woman is killed, police officer Tom Douglas and his team threatening to blow up her cover! This is a complicated and twisted case told in Rachel Abbott's usual tension riddled and engrossing style. New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter. Jokių žiaurumų, šaudymų gaudymų, jokio karštligiško skubėjimo, bet uch kaip įtraukiančiai ir gerai viskas sudėliota, supainiota ir galiausiai išvyniota! In The Coldest Case: A Black Book Audio Drama, homicide detective Billy Harney sends his new partner, Kate, deep undercover in a notorious Chicago drug ring. Today I’m delighted to share my thoughts on Close Your Eyes, the latest Tom Douglas thriller by Rachel Abbott.

The setup was fairly clever, hence 4 stars, but I didn't find it satisfying because I didn't care much for the characters. Best-selling author Mark Manson brings his signature no-nonsense wisdom back to the subject he started his career covering: relationships. This became her debut novel Only The Innocent, which she went on to publish via Kindle Direct Publishing, topping their chart for 4 weeks.

In each episode you'll follow one person's journey, getting to listen in on their coaching sessions with Selina and following them as she sends them off on a task to try out a new career idea. Access to the Plus Catalogue—thousands of Audible Originals, audiobooks and podcasts, including exclusive series. Martha’s story is told in the first person and has flashbacks to different events and timelines in her life. This was followed by the number one bestselling novels The Back Road, Sleep Tight, Stranger Child, Nowhere Child (a short novel based on the characters from Stranger Child), Kill Me Again, The Sixth Window, Come a Little Closer, The Shape of Lies, Right Behind You and Close Your Eyes. The victim, Genevieve Strachan, is the pampered wife of Niall, the head of a rising cutting edge tech firm.

I am delighted to be able to participate in the blog tour to celebrate its launch bwith an extract and to offer a great Giveaway - a print copy of the book. There's a reason We Are Legion was named Audible's Best Science Fiction Book of 2016: Its irresistibly irreverent wit! It is those quieter moments that provide a welcome offset to the darkness in Martha's story, the proof that family life can be positive and uncomplicated. This deeply personal and supportive series offers listeners an honest and relatable insight into how some the UK's best-known celebrities have coped with mental health difficulties, ranging from OCD to insomnia, addiction to grief, and depression to anxiety. Not long after they move there, a mysterious man moves in with them who makes India, who is a young girl at the time and her father, feel very uncomfortable. For Arthur Dent, who has only just had his house demolished that morning, this seems already to be more than he can cope with. The two stories swirl apart and ultimately coalesce, raising disturbing issues of mental manipulation and control of a group’s collective psyche. I was born and brought up in the north of England, and worked for many years as the managing director of an interactive media company. Through flashback chapters, the reader is drip fed another story and what a harrowing and disturbing one it is.
