The next time there's an Amazing Spider-Man movie, hopefully combat can be brought up to snuff, since there's plenty of promise in the air.
Colour is deeper and richer on Xbox One, but dark scenes - and anything taking place at night - loses a significant amount of detail as a result. The most immediately noticeable difference between the two platforms is the gamma level - it seems to be excessively skewed on Xbox One, resulting in clear black crush, especially impactful in night-time scenes, where PS4 resolves detail in a much more agreeable manner. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.
While Spidey's range for stealth attacks has been increased, that benefit is negated by the guesswork involved in discovering said range, since there is no indicator like in The Amazing Spider-Man. Like any other Spider-Man games there are some collectables to find, but not as many as the first Amazing Spider-Man game. It certainly doesn’t help that the script is very schizophrenic, jumping from attempted melodrama to hackneyed gags a matter of seconds. The first time I made a crazy dive from a skyscraper and attached a web to a building right before hitting the ground, I could finally relate to the common scene that’s played out in just about every Spider-Man movie over the last dozen years. There are 300 comic pages in the game, but you only need to find 285 to complete all the comic books. I recommend NOT skipping the credits and NOT skipping the after-credits cut scene to ensure it'll pop once you continue the game. The game's map has been expanded compared to its predecessor, and now also features a subway system that allows the player to travel to Peter Parker's home in Queens, which serves as a hub. Whitehead was very disappointed in the game because, as he is a big fan of Spider-Man, he felt that the game provided no significant fun for the player, whereas past Spider-Man games at least provided something.
