About this deal

Hudson was Addie's only friend for years - they both had drunk dads and not much money - but then Hudson got swole and started playing football and is now super popular.

As long as you're not squeamish, and if you are squeamish, I'm afraid you're missing out on an amazing book.

This is not a small hiccup: it was consistently wrong as far as I read, which was up to the section entitled The Businessman. The action centres around a museum in Exeter and it makes an excellent backdrop for the unfolding drama. I advise going into this one as clueless to the plot line as possible and prepare to be blown to smithereens by a signature McFadden explosive ending that I suspect will leave readers reeling and discussing for some time.

She lives with her family and black cat in a centuries-old three-story home overlooking the ocean, with staircases that creak and moan with each step, and nobody could hear you if you scream. Through the eyes of the teachers we come to know intimately in this book, the Teachers will change the way you think about American education. It is fast-paced with shorter chapters that will have you hooked from the beginning and shocked at the end. Robbins also interviewed hundreds of other teachers nationwide who share their secrets, dramas, and joys.A central claim in this book is that while we are naturally curious, we are not naturally good at thinking and can only truly think about things we know. Before long, the three characters' lives are hopelessly intertwined in a dangerous, highly combustible situation that can't end well. Or to put it another way, in my fifth year of retirement, nothing has made me miss the classroom more than reading this book.

The book switches POV and timeframes which I followed with ease, it's done that way quite cleverly as events happening in the present are very much tied in to actions and secrets from the past. Naturally a horribly efficient detective, his emotional vulnerability is beautifully crafted by Tim Sullivan. SP Nate continues with the soulmate talk to keep Addie hooked even though "it doesn't last long, and Nathaniel says that's normal when you like somebody as much as he likes me. Gruesome deaths is an understatement, they are not terribly prolonged scenes but they leave enough imagery to put you off your lunch.Hudson and Addie are friends again and Kenzie has stopped bullying Addie and no one is being sexually abused anymore, so I guess everyone is fine? He is told to work leads from behind the scenes, as he previously showed stalker tendencies toward the son of one of the victims. The chosen few are subjected to an unthinkable darkness tailored to inflict the most pain, each having absolute precision and attention to detail. Whether or not you agree with everything in this book, every teacher should at least be acquainted with its arguments. He usually kept himself to himself, but people swear there was someone in the house when they checked on him, that there was a reason he wouldn’t let them inside.
